Decision to Change

Page 3 of Unstoppable...

... "Making a decision is like having a plumb line. That decision
becomes the measuring tool for all the other choices we’ll
make going forward.

If we do what we have always done, we end up with what
we’ve always had. Change is usually uncomfortable. Change
is required to level up.

It starts in our soul, made up of our will where we make
decisions, our mind where we process and reason, and our
emotions where we experience our feelings.

• New decisions will always encounter resistance.
• New decisions will always be tested to stay the course.
• New decisions will always experience nay-sayers.

Our physical muscles grow in strength and ability in the same
ways. For example, as we apply resistance by lifting weights
the muscle groans for you to stop, ease up, take it slower.
If we stop, we will lose muscle mass and become weaker.

So, we choose to keep aligning to our plumb line decision to
work out to build stronger muscles for a healthier

Be Unstoppable

Unlock your fullest potential

"It’s easy to say, “Be unstoppable.”
You don’t know until you face the giants in the land.
Do you see obstacles as insurmountable giants or as
grasshoppers? Numbers 13:33
Life has only two paths: Stoppable and Unstoppable.
Which will you choose?
This book is written for believers:
• to see giants as grasshoppers.
• to find courage to forge ahead.
• at the crossroads of life looking for GPS coordinates to
be unstoppable.

Did you know only three things can defeat you?
This book looks them right in the face and says, “Get behind
me, satan! You are an offense to Me, because your thoughts
are only filled with man’s viewpoints and not with the ways of
God.” Matthew 16:23

In my lifetime, I’ve had many amazing victorious miracles and
breakthroughs. I’ve also encountered many of the trials and
tribulations written in the first paragraph of this chapter.
I’m sure you could say the same about your life. No one is
exempt from the ups and downs here on earth.

Worry Versus Faith

Philippians 4:4-9 (TPT)
Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One! Let gentleness be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near.

Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.

So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things.

 Overcoming Unhealthy Habits

________________________

A Song of Wisdom

(The Passion Translation)

37 Poetic praise, by King David
1 Don’t follow after the wicked ones or be jealous of their wealth. Don’t think for a moment they’re better off than you.
2 They and their short-lived success will soon shrivel up and quickly fade away like grass clippings in the hot sun.
3 Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness.
4 Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most.
5 Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!
6 He will appear as your righteousness, as sure as the dawning of a new day. He will manifest as your justice, as sure and strong as the noonday sun.
7 Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come th...

Overcoming Unhealthy Habits - REST

Overcoming Unhealthy Habits

Hear and obey Jesus today. REST.

"There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience."
Hebrews 4:9-11

The entire chapter of Hebrews 4 is about rest. REST is vital! Since I can remember,  there has been this view point that rest equals unproductive laziness. It was enforced during school through academics and sports, into college and then my working career.

It became amplified in my life personally when I entered full time ministry. There was a drive to "show your worth" and justify your income by going above and  beyond. The result was my marriage suffered, my children suffered, my walk with Jesus suffered and I lost who I was, spirit, soul and body. It was a nasty, unhealthy habit that has taken almost 7 years to overcome wi

Overcoming Unhealthy Habits - Financial Well-being

Overcoming Unhealthy Habits

"The benefits are too amazing."

One devastating life habit concerns our financial health and well-being. It's easy to extend ourselves beyond our means in this world of easy pay and instant credit.

An unhealthy financial life usually comes from a lack of self-control. Self-control is one of the fruit (evidences) of a Spirit-filled life; a life managed by the Lordship of Jesus rather than our flesh or carnal mind and emotions.

In my lifetime of ministry walking with 1000's of people through various situations, one of the most devastating unhealthy life habits I've observed (next to lack of integrity) is in the area of personal finances. They often go  and in hand. Fix one and the other begins to fall into line. How can we align ourselves to develop a healthy financial lifestyle?

  • First things first. Be a tither. Pay God what He says belongs to Him. You may disagree with Him but this eternal truth always wins. Put God first, as so

Overcoming Unhealthy Habits

...your word is you...you are your word

"Johnny, I want you to take the trash out now." "OK, mom, I will." Two hours later mom walks by the trash and it still sits there. "Johnny, I asked you two hours ago to take out the trash, get up and do it now." "OK, mom, I will in just a minute..." Two hours later...trash still hasn't been removed.

"I'm going to get this job done for you in the next 24 hours." "Ok, that's great, as it's really important." Two days later, the job isn't done. The frustration compounds.

"Tomorrow I'm going to start eating healthy," we say to ourselves. Two weeks later, oops, it never happened.

"I'll be there at 2:00pm to pick you up." "Ok." "Where are you, it's 2:30pm?" "Oh, sorry, I was running late and then an important call came in and then traffic...I'm on my way."

"I ordered this product but can I pay for it later?" All these scenarios and many more play out every day; adding frustration, devaluation,

 Overcoming Unhealthy Habits

I have learned to be content
What’s the one thing none of your friends have? Enough.

We are constantly seeking more and more stuff in our lives. Every day we wake up feeling like we have to achieve so much so that we can be considered efficient and productive. I wake up, butterflies in my stomach, anxious about what the day has in store for me.

We need to remind ourselves of what Paul said:
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. Philippians 4:11

I’ve never heard of a monk asking a billionaire for advice. Have you? Yet, I’m hearing about more and more billionaires checking themselves into  monasteries, retreats, and treatment centers, looking for peace in their souls. The daily battle of constantly striving to find alpha, to achieve stratospheric success or just to stay ahead of the game is stealing our peace and causing us pain.

What if less really is

And, so I researched more. I became certified as a Nutritional Therapist through the Nutritio

Trust Him

TRUST HIM

Whatever our circumstances we're to trust Jesus completely. He is God.

Jesus said, "Daughter, you took a risk trusting Me, and now you're healed and whole. Live well, live blessed!" (Luke 8:48 The Message)

The daughter Jesus was referring to had already suffered 12 long years, spent all she had on doctors and was alone in the world. She had no family, no husband, nothing to lose, but everything to gain as she risked her last ounce of self-worth and pressed through the thronging crowd to touch the hem of HIS garment.

Jairus, the president of the meeting place, also fell at His feet begging Him to come to his home and heal his 12 year old daughter who was dying.

Both were "daughters." One was 12 years old. The other one had lived many years, the past 12 in pain and suffering. Both were dying.

One had suffered at the hands of many with no one to cry out on her behalf but herself. The other was beloved by her father, family and community and yet unable to get to Je
