Matthew 25:14-30Â Amplified Bible (AMP)
Parable of the Talents
14 âFor it is just like a man who was about to take a journey, and he called his servants together and entrusted them with his possessions. 15 To one he gave five [a]talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and then he went on his journey. 16 The one who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he [made a profit and] gained five more. 17 Likewise the one who had two [made a profit and] gained two more. 18 But the one who had received the one went and dug a hole in the ground and hid his masterâs money.
19 âNow after a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 And the one who had received the five talents came and brought him five more, saying, âMaster, you entrusted to me five talents. See, I have [made a profit and] gained five more talents.â 21 His master said to him, âWell don...

Did you know that having no productivity or to be stagnate at
a certain growth level is actually unscriptural?
Think of the story of the master who gave his servants various
talents. One was given five, another two and to the third
servant, one talent. Time passed by and the master returned
for an accounting of what his servants had done with what he
had given them.
He commended the two who were productive and multiplied
the resources he had given them. To the servant who buried
the talent and didnât bother to increase his masterâs
entrusted monies came a swift and immediate response of
condemnation. Matthew 25 and Luke 19.
God has given each of us many talents, abilities and skills to
use for advancing His kingdom. He expects us to take what He
has entrusted to us and apply ourselves to increase our skills
for a greater harvest....
We are not given the same number or kinds of talent so it is
foolish to compare ourselv

âOther seeds fell among the thorns (weeds), so when the
seeds sprouted so did the thorns, crowding out the young
plants so that they could produce no grain.â Mark 4:7
âAnd the seed sown among thorns represents those who hear
the Word, but they allow the cares of this life and the
seduction of wealth and the desires for other things to crowd
out and choke the Word so that it produces nothing.â Mark
4:17-18
Once again, like the rocky soil, we see good intentions. The
desire to do the will of God, to apply His Word to our lives, to
fulfill His will for us is at the forefront. Letâs do this!
Oh, the initial joy! As we begin to make progress, other
situations begin to show up: Weeds and thorns.
My family has bought and sold several homes over the years.
It never seems to fail that weeds appear out of nowhere in
the front, back and side yards. We work to pull them out and
lo and behold, they just grow back....

âOther seeds fell onto gravel with no topsoil and the seeds
quickly sprouted since the soil had no depth. But when the
days grew hot, the sprouts were scorched and withered
because they had insufficient roots.â Mark 4:5
Another translation says, âwho, when they have heard the
Word, immediately receive it with gladness and have no root
in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward when
affliction or persecution arises for the wordâs sake,
immediately they are offended.â (KJV)
Many people get all excited upon hearing a good message or
when God speaks to them. WOW! This is fantastic. They
eagerly set out to act on what they heard.
In the process of applying corresponding actions to bring the
desired outcome to pass, life happens. Other wounds,
encountered in the past, long ago buried are revealed. New
wounds are made....

... "Making a decision is like having a plumb line. That decision
becomes the measuring tool for all the other choices weâll
make going forward. If we do what we have always done, we end up with what
weâve always had. Change is usually uncomfortable. Change
is required to level up.It starts in our soul, made up of our will where we make
decisions, our mind where we process and reason, and our
emotions where we experience our feelings.⢠New decisions will always encounter resistance.
⢠New decisions will always be tested to stay the course.
⢠New decisions will always experience nay-sayers.Our physical muscles grow in strength and ability in the same
ways. For example, as we apply resistance by lifting weights
the muscle groans for you to stop, ease up, take it slower.
If we stop, we will lose muscle mass and become weaker.ÂSo, we choose to keep aligning to our plumb line decision to

"Itâs easy to say, âBe unstoppable.â
You donât know until you face the giants in the land.
Do you see obstacles as insurmountable giants or as
grasshoppers? Numbers 13:33
Life has only two paths: Stoppable and Unstoppable.
Which will you choose?
This book is written for believers:
⢠to see giants as grasshoppers.
⢠to find courage to forge ahead.
⢠at the crossroads of life looking for GPS coordinates to
be unstoppable.
Did you know only three things can defeat you?
This book looks them right in the face and says, âGet behind
me, satan! You are an offense to Me, because your thoughts
are only filled with manâs viewpoints and not with the ways of
God.â Matthew 16:23...
In my lifetime, Iâve had many amazing victorious miracles and
breakthroughs. Iâve also encountered many of the trials and
tribulations written in the first paragraph of this chapter.
Iâm sure you could say the same about your life. No one is
exempt from the ups and downs here on earth.
Â
Philippians 4:4-9 (TPT)Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One! Let gentleness be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near.ÂDonât be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then Godâs wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.ÂÂSo keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things.Â

37Â Poetic praise, by King David
1 Donât follow after the wicked ones or be jealous of their wealth. Donât think for a moment theyâre better off than you.
2 They and their short-lived success will soon shrivel up and quickly fade away like grass clippings in the hot sun.
3 Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness.
4 Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most.
5 Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way youâll find he pulled it off perfectly!
6 He will appear as your righteousness, as sure as the dawning of a new day. He will manifest as your justice, as sure and strong as the noonday sun.
7Â Quiet your heart in his presence and pray;Â keep hope alive as you long for God to come th...
Hear and obey Jesus today. REST.
"There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience."Hebrews 4:9-11ÂThe entire chapter of Hebrews 4 is about rest. REST is vital! Since I can remember, there has been this view point that rest equals unproductive laziness. It was enforced during school through academics and sports, into college and then my working career.ÂIt became amplified in my life personally when I entered full time ministry. There was a drive to "show your worth" and justify your income by going above and beyond. The result was my marriage suffered, my children suffered, my walk with Jesus suffered and I lost who I was, spirit, soul and body. It was a nasty, unhealthy habit that has taken almost 7 years to overcome wi...
"The benefits are too amazing."
One devastating life habit concerns our financial health and well-being. It's easy to extend ourselves beyond our means in this world of easy pay and instant credit.ÂAn unhealthy financial life usually comes from a lack of self-control. Self-control is one of the fruit (evidences) of a Spirit-filled life; a life managed by the Lordship of Jesus rather than our flesh or carnal mind and emotions.ÂIn my lifetime of ministry walking with 1000's of people through various situations, one of the most devastating unhealthy life habits I've observed (next to lack of integrity) is in the area of personal finances. They often go and in hand. Fix one and the other begins to fall into line. How can we align ourselves to develop a healthy financial lifestyle?Â
- First things first. Be a tither. Pay God what He says belongs to Him. You may disagree with Him but this eternal truth always wins. Put God first, as so
