Does God Take Sides? - Part 3

faith joy peace Feb 14, 2025

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?

17     no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord.

19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Prayer - Part 3

freedom peace prayer Jan 24, 2025

28 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped...

Prayer

faith peace prayer Jan 16, 2025

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior,

Good Hate vs Bad Hate

faith peace trust Nov 18, 2024

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

10 Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7...

Walk In The Light - Part 2

faith light peace Jul 22, 2024

Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples.

21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”[a] And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.

Best of 2021 - The Secret Of Fulfillment

contentment peace truth Jun 24, 2024

13 A wise son heeds his father’s instruction,
but a mocker does not respond to rebukes.

From the fruit of their lips people enjoy good things,
but the unfaithful have an appetite for violence.

Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.

A sluggard’s appetite is never filled,
but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.

The righteous hate what is false,
but the wicked make themselves a stench
    and bring shame on themselves.

Righteousness guards the person of integrity,
    but wickedness overthrows the sinner.

One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing;
another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.

A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes.

The light of the righteous shines brightly,
but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.

The Little Books - Titus 3

love obediance peace May 13, 2024

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are ...

The Little Books - Titus 1

faith peace truth Apr 29, 2024

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,

To Titus, my true son in our common faith:

Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint[a] elders in every town, as I directed you. An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe[b] and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, h...
