Fulfillment:
Satisfaction as a result of fully developing one's abilities or character.
The achievement of something desired, promised, or predicted.
People often live unfulfilled lives; trying to achieve time and again only to see their plans thwarted and dreams dashed.
It can seem as though a cloud of disappointments and sorrows are their lot in life.
"...a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." "...longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul." Proverbs 13:12 & 19
I've discovered that when we allow Christ to be the source of our fulfillment, we rest in His ability to complete us.
However, if we look towards our own accomplishments and abilities in order to measure our "fulfillment factor" we will fall short time and again.
A beautiful tapestry hanging on a wall is a work of art to behold.
From the wall's perspective, however, it is a mess.
The threads to make the artistic design look very ugly on the backside.
But from the front, the creator...
We hear what we want to hear.
Sounds go through the gateway of the ear 24/7. Some catch our attention. Others go in and out never making a lasting imprint.
Yet, others go completely unnoticed. People develop selective hearing. Two people can hear the same sounds, one will take it all in; the other won't even recall hearing anything.
We hear what we want to hear.
We block out everything else.Ears are amazing. Their function incredible. God fashioned us in a high-tech way. We not only have physical ears, we have a spiritual ear too. In Psalms 95 and Hebrews 3:7-19 we're admonished not to turn a deaf ear to God's words. Verse 19 stated, "They never got there because they never listened, never believed."
I read an article about "donor fatigue." That's where people are overwhelmed with so many good causes needing support that after awhile they don't respond to pleas for help. Many cartoons have been drawn where husbands sit reading the newspaper saying, "Yes, Dear"...
He Is Jehovah Jireh
Jesus encountered a young man in Mark 10. This guy had wealth, power, things and yet he felt a void. Something was missing. He approached Jesus and let Him know he had faithfully kept all the godly commands and lived a good life.
Jesus, discerning his heart, lovingly said to him that he lacked one thing. "What?" "I'm doing everything by the book." (my paraphrase) Jesus knew he was holding on real tight to his possessions. He was afraid to let go and give God first place. Somehow "having" things, power, money, prestige, etc. caused him to feel secure, like he had it made, he was important in life.
Things had him. Jesus challenged him. Things were actually holding him in bondage to fear. Fear of losing his esteemed position with his network of friends and business partners. Fear of losing his possessions. They made him feel like he had arrived, he was somebody.
Here's the thing. You can't take things with you into the next life. They are temporal....
The Reason & The Resolution
Genesis 3
The Temptation and Fall of Man
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was [a]pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to...

You’re growing spiritually when you’re being you, and you’re being you when you’re…
1). Play, laugh - Joy isn’t a bonus; it’s your birthright. Children get this, but we lose it as we age. Joy, play, and laughter are often beaten out of us by the troubles and pressures of growing up. We’re not talking growing upward in stature, but growing inward developing our spirit, our inner man.
2). Dance, or “let go”—Embrace the moment. Release inhibitions or fears of what will people think is part of the journey to our freedom in Christ. It's our ego-management that keeps us tight and tense…yep, it’s called pride.
3). Take steps of faith—When we make a bold decision...
The honest truth... Judy and Chad take a look at the benefits of honesty in relation to those close to you and in one's personal relationship with God. Join the conversation on Facebook @EpicConquerors
Spiritual growth is often misunderstood and over-complicated.
I’m inviting you to think of spiritual growth from some different angles.
Definition: Spiritual Growth is the development of your inner man, your spirit, to be your true self and to live--moment by moment--in connection with God, yourself, and others.Let’s start with a revolutionary thought: All growth is spiritual growth
If it is then it comes from God. If it’s of God, as His child, it belongs to you.
Growth is anything moving us forward--or, more specifically, helps us be our true selves. And if we’re becoming more of who we were created or designed to be--closer to our God-given “potential”—then it’s growth. Thus, all growth is spiritual...

God created human beings in His own image. “In the image of God,...
I was preparing a different message for this PODCAST and whilst reading some inspired writings, I felt this strong overwhelming feeling of gratitude and thankfulness for what the Lord has done and continues to do in my LIFE and the people around me. Friends, Family and loved ones.
I want us as a community of Epic Conquerors to start this week of Thanksgiving by being thankful. As we have spoken previously, living a life of thankfulness and gratitude, especially for what the Lord has done and the price He paid for us is a foundation for build a successful life.
Let’s not just try and get thankful only on Thanksgiving Thursday. Let’s keep that practice, starting today—so we’re good at gratitude—and shine on Thanksgiving.
I want us as a community to focus on the AWE of all the beautiful...
