Overcoming doubt & unbelief

Choose faith over doubt and unbelief.

“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathaniel asked. John 1:46

Regardless of the AMAZING miracles Jesus performed right in their presence...doubt and unbelief would creep in and show up time and again.
We see through a filter. Your life filter is based on your own upbringing, personality, and experiences. You see everything—God, yourself, others, circumstances, etc—through this filter.

We are programmed to doubt everything and believe nothing that we can't see, feel and touch... Sadly, even when we see it, feel it and touch it...We still doubt! Philip, a disciple of Jesus, once told a friend, Nathaniel, about Jesus. Nate wasn’t into it. “Just come and see,” Phil told Nate," You don’t have to take my word for it. Just meet this Jesus guy!"

Life and faith are more simple than we make it. We get stuck staring through our hole in the fence that we miss all the beautiful and incredible

Overcoming doubt & unbelief

Speaking faith-filled words rises out of a heart of trust, a place of "knowing" in God as the way, the truth and the life He called us into.

"Well, that's fine for you, but it won't work for me."
"I know what Mark 11:23-24 says, but it doesn't always work."
"Life is crazy hectic."Words spoken as accepted truth. (Psst. FYI - Fake news)
These statements and more so often pour out of mouths without a thought to the cause and effect they're creating or to the heart they're revealing. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Voice is given to what we intrinsically believe. (our 2 cents, our opinion, what we feel). What is spoken will be acted upon. What is acted out results in consequences -(of our own making BTW).
"The mouth speaks what the heart is full of."Matthew 12:34
SO, the question of the hour is, "What are YOU talking about these days?"Speaking faith-filled words isn't "blab-it-and-grab-it" or "name-it-and-claim-it"nonsense

Miracle Mornings - Episode 4

Finally, I commit myself to service.

My Miracle Morning Routine: Here is the breakdown of the terms and then exactly how I use them, in order:
T - Thanks
A - Affirm
S - Surrender
K - Kill
S - Serve

SERVE
The first four help me still my body, focus my mind, soften (or heal) my heart, and tap into my soul so I am connected to the spirit. Finally, I commit myself to service.

A life lived in service to one’s self is a miserable life. That’s why so many rich people are miserable. You would think they’d be happier because they have so much. But most are not. Having wealth is not the problem. Thinking that wealth will make them happy—is the problem.

We will never find fulfillment if we think it’s about “me getting mine.” Fulfillment is found in service to others. Period. That’s how God wired this universe. We can’t escape it, no matter how hard we try.

So, before I get up from my seat, I remind myself, “I am here to serve. The work I do, it’s not to mak

Reject, Receive, Replace

My Miracle Morning Routine - Here is the breakdown of the terms and then exactly how I use them, in order:
T - Thanks
A - Affirm
S - Surrender
K - Kill

SURRENDER
In Alcoholics Anonymous, the first and second steps are to admit powerlessness, and dependence upon a higher power. That’s called “surrender.” On my own, I’ll make a mess of my life. But, guided by and in alignment with God, I can be restored and thrive.

Jesus spoke to his followers about what I call “secrets of the universe.” One was the encouragement to visualize myself as a branch and God as the Vine (see John 15). The Vine is the life source. The branch is the beneficiary—reaching out into the world and producing fruit. Branches produce good fruit to the extent that they remain connected to—dependent upon—the Vine.

Detached branches are sticks. Trying to manufacture fruit apart from the Vine is futile and exhausting. What’s needed is surrender—and s

Reinforce and affirm the promises of God

Here is the breakdown of the terms and then exactly how I use them, in order:
T - Thanks
A - Affirm
S - Surrender
K - Kill
S - Serve

THANKS
Gratitude is the best place to start. The scriptures have been bullish on thankfulness for thousands of years. Our ancestors were whispering to us at every turn, “Give thanks to God for everything, all the time. It’s better this way.” Turns out, they were right. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.-1 Thessalonians 5:18

Hear the whisper of the Lord: “Thankfulness is a royal road to draw near Me. A thankful heart has plenty of room for Me. When you thank Me for the many pleasures I provide, you affirm that I am God, from whom all
blessings flow. When adversity strikes and you thank Me anyway, your trust in My sovereignty is a showpiece in invisible realms. Fill up the spare moments of your life with praise and thanksgiving. This ...

Exciting. Miracles. Prayer. Outcomes.

A friend of mine, Caleb developed this morning miracle routine that has blessed my life. I’ve tweaked it to fit me and I encourage you to do the same.

Here’s the idea:
It’s made up of 4 main concepts:
Exciting. Miracles. Prayer. Outcomes.

Exciting
Exciting because every day is a gift and an adventure. When you’re connected to the Author of Life—the Master Storyteller and Maker of
the Universe—anything is possible, and you never know where a day might lead. Anything that tends to make you anxious is a growth opportunity.

Hear the Lord whisper: “Instead of running away from challenges, embrace them, eager to gain all the blessings I have hidden in the difficulties. If you believe that I am sovereign over every aspect of your life, it is possible to trust Me in all situations. Don’t waste energy regretting the way things are or thinking about what might have been. Start at the present moment—accepting things e...

How's your reactor?

dr judy bauer reaction May 21, 2021

Reaction in Action

  • How do you react to conflict?
  • Difficult circumstances?
  • Unjustified character attacks on yourself?
  • People arguing?
  • Confusing situations you can't control?

These and more are all woven into every person's life. We can't escape what's happening around us.

The only thing we can control is our reaction.

Moses was definitely a reactionary.  (Exodus)

Whether it was an unfair fight between two men, dealing with complaints from the 2 million people he was commissioned to lead out of Egypt, a burning bush that wasn't consumed, his family and close advisors attaching his character, or a myriad of other issues...

Moses reacted.

God began to teach him to react wisely. God put Moses through the school of The Spirit. You and I are in that same schooling process.

God is working in us to become like Him in and through the various issues of life we face today.

While meditating about Moses and his journey, an important principle began to take shape. His years out

God is MY Source

God is my source. I cannot fail!

During one of Jeremiah's darkest times help came from an unexpected source...literally.

Here's what was going on...Jeremiah was obedient to deliver God's message to the people.

As a result of hearing God's words, the people were so upset (convicted) that they threw Jeremiah into a cistern.  They didn't like "that" message.

I've looked inside a cistern in Israel. There is no way of escape. You are stuck in every sense of the word.

Cisterns are HUGE containers, very dark, actually pitch-black inside. They are cavernous and used as reservoirs dug deep into the ground. Cisterns were used to store water, grains, etc.

This particular cistern was empty but the bottom of it was filled with muddy sludge. (Jeremiah 38:6)

An Ethiopian official in the kings ranks observed all that had transpired with Jeremiah. He privately went to the king and asked for the prophets life.

He told the king that he was aware that some political groups had pressured him t
