Many people get all excited upon hearing a good message or
when God speaks to them.

“Other seeds fell onto gravel with no topsoil and the seeds
quickly sprouted since the soil had no depth. But when the
days grew hot, the sprouts were scorched and withered
because they had insufficient roots.” Mark 4:5
Another translation says, “who, when they have heard the
Word, immediately receive it with gladness and have no root
in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward when
affliction or persecution arises for the word’s sake,
immediately they are offended.” (KJV)
Many people get all excited upon hearing a good message or
when God speaks to them. WOW! This is fantastic. They
eagerly set out to act on what they heard.
In the process of applying corresponding actions to bring the
desired outcome to pass, life happens. Other wounds,
encountered in the past, long ago buried are revealed. New
wounds are made....

... "Making a decision is like having a plumb line. That decision
becomes the measuring tool for all the other choices we’ll
make going forward. If we do what we have always done, we end up with what
we’ve always had. Change is usually uncomfortable. Change
is required to level up.It starts in our soul, made up of our will where we make
decisions, our mind where we process and reason, and our
emotions where we experience our feelings.• New decisions will always encounter resistance.
• New decisions will always be tested to stay the course.
• New decisions will always experience nay-sayers.Our physical muscles grow in strength and ability in the same
ways. For example, as we apply resistance by lifting weights
the muscle groans for you to stop, ease up, take it slower.
If we stop, we will lose muscle mass and become weaker. So, we choose to keep aligning to our plumb line decision to

"The benefits are too amazing."
One devastating life habit concerns our financial health and well-being. It's easy to extend ourselves beyond our means in this world of easy pay and instant credit. An unhealthy financial life usually comes from a lack of self-control. Self-control is one of the fruit (evidences) of a Spirit-filled life; a life managed by the Lordship of Jesus rather than our flesh or carnal mind and emotions. In my lifetime of ministry walking with 1000's of people through various situations, one of the most devastating unhealthy life habits I've observed (next to lack of integrity) is in the area of personal finances. They often go and in hand. Fix one and the other begins to fall into line. How can we align ourselves to develop a healthy financial lifestyle?
- First things first. Be a tither. Pay God what He says belongs to Him. You may disagree with Him but this eternal truth always wins. Put God first, as so

Whatever our circumstances we're to trust Jesus completely. He is God.
Jesus said, "Daughter, you took a risk trusting Me, and now you're healed and whole. Live well, live blessed!" (Luke 8:48 The Message)
The daughter Jesus was referring to had already suffered 12 long years, spent all she had on doctors and was alone in the world. She had no family, no husband, nothing to lose, but everything to gain as she risked her last ounce of self-worth and pressed through the thronging crowd to touch the hem of HIS garment.
Jairus, the president of the meeting place, also fell at His feet begging Him to come to his home and heal his 12 year old daughter who was dying.
Both were "daughters." One was 12 years old. The other one had lived many years, the past 12 in pain and suffering. Both were dying.
One had suffered at the hands of many with no one to cry out on her behalf but herself. The other was beloved by her father, family and community and yet unable to get to Je

We hear what we want to hear.
Sounds go through the gateway of the ear 24/7. Some catch our attention. Others go in and out never making a lasting imprint.
Yet, others go completely unnoticed. People develop selective hearing. Two people can hear the same sounds, one will take it all in; the other won't even recall hearing anything.
We hear what we want to hear.
We block out everything else.Ears are amazing. Their function incredible. God fashioned us in a high-tech way. We not only have physical ears, we have a spiritual ear too. In Psalms 95 and Hebrews 3:7-19 we're admonished not to turn a deaf ear to God's words. Verse 19 stated, "They never got there because they never listened, never believed."
I read an article about "donor fatigue." That's where people are overwhelmed with so many good causes needing support that after awhile they don't respond to pleas for help. Many cartoons have been drawn where husbands sit reading the newspaper saying, "Y

He Is Jehovah Jireh
Jesus encountered a young man in Mark 10. This guy had wealth, power, things and yet he felt a void. Something was missing. He approached Jesus and let Him know he had faithfully kept all the godly commands and lived a good life.
Jesus, discerning his heart, lovingly said to him that he lacked one thing. "What?" "I'm doing everything by the book." (my paraphrase) Jesus knew he was holding on real tight to his possessions. He was afraid to let go and give God first place. Somehow "having" things, power, money, prestige, etc. caused him to feel secure, like he had it made, he was important in life.
Things had him. Jesus challenged him. Things were actually holding him in bondage to fear. Fear of losing his esteemed position with his network of friends and business partners. Fear of losing his possessions. They made him feel like he had arrived, he was somebody.
Here's the thing. You can't take things with you into the next life. They are temp

Mark chapter 4 records the parable of the four soils. The good soil is only 1/4th of all the soil types. What sets it apart from the other three? It produces. Some good ground will bring a crop of fruit 30 times more than was sown. Some will actually increase 60 times and some will even bring in a hundred-fold return.
Not all good soil produces 100%, yet it is classified as good. Why? Because it is multiplying. The three remaining soil conditions are unfruitful, they bring forth zero, nada, zip.
I purpose to give God 100% of my time, energy and resources. Sometimes that takes increased faith and a hefty dose of courage. Other times it's easy and a joy to do. I've learned not to look on the outward to measure success. Why? Because I don't look on the heart, only God does.
Therefore, I give my ALL each time knowing that it is God who tries my heart as well.

Hebrews 3
7 So, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the wilderness,
9 where your ancestors tested and tried me,
though for forty years they saw what I did.
10 That is why I was angry with that generation;
I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray,
and they have not known my ways.’
11 So I declared on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”[b]12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. 15 As has just been said:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebel...

John :10:10 (Amp)
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
1 Samuel 17:45 - 58
Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the corpses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, and that this entire assembly may know that the Lord does not save with the sword or with the spear; for the battle is the Lord’s and He will hand you over to us.” When the Philistine rose and came forward to meet David, David ran quickly toward the ...
While His process is in process in our lives, these are the things that we need to know and do - it will lead us to our victory:
1. Our enemies are being defeated.
2. Our heart is being formed and fashioned.
3. Bless others in midst of our trial.
We continue to discover that:
4. Unbelief and distrust is being crucified while our faith in Christ increases.
5. Murmering and complaing or are we having lips and a heart of gratitude.
6. Transformation of our character comes from endurance and long suffering.
7. Our loyalties are tested.
