It's much more valuable to have success in the eye's of God, than in the world's. His rewards endure for eternity which never ends.
Jeremiah would not have been considered a success by just about anyone. However, he was a success in the eyes of God. That makes all the difference.
Looking through the lens of the world's view he was a miserable failure. For 40 years he served as God's spokesman to Judah. When he spoke, no one listened. He continuously urged them to act on God's commands, but nobody moved one inch toward the things that mattered to God.
