“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

This scripture is quoted often. However, it’s wise to look at the context in which it was written. God told His people they would be in captivity for 70 years. “After that,” He said, “I will visit you and perform My good word toward you.” 70 years! Yikes! That’s a long time.
