Exciting. Miracles. Prayer. Outcomes.
A friend of mine, Caleb developed this morning miracle routine that has blessed my life. I’ve tweaked it to fit me and I encourage you to do the same.
Here’s the idea:
It’s made up of 4 main concepts:
Exciting. Miracles. Prayer. Outcomes.
Exciting
Exciting because every day is a gift and an adventure. When you’re connected to the Author of Life—the Master Storyteller and Maker of
the Universe—anything is possible, and you never know where a day might lead. Anything that tends to make you anxious is a growth opportunity.Hear the Lord whisper: “Instead of running away from challenges, embrace them, eager to gain all the blessings I have hidden in the difficulties. If you believe that I am sovereign over every aspect of your life, it is possible to trust Me in all situations. Don’t waste energy regretting the way things are or thinking about what might have been. Start at the present moment—accepting things exactly as they are— and search for My way in the midst of those circumstances. Trust is like a staff you can lean on as you journey uphill with Me. If you are trusting in Me consistently, the staff will bear as much of your weight as needed. Lean on, trust, and be confident in Me with all your heart and mind."
But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.” Psalm 52:8
“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6 Amp.
Miracles
I say miracle because the plan I’m going to share with you will help you connect to our creator and every good thing that flows from God. In alignment with God you’ll not only see the miracles you’ve been missing, but hopefully you’ll play a role in new miracles bursting into living color.Hear the Lord whisper: “As you persevere along the path that I have prepared for you, depend on My strength to sustain you, expect to see miracles—and you will. Miracles are not always visible to the naked eye, but those who live by faith see them clearly. Living by faith, rather than sight, enables you to see My Glory.”
“We live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
“Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40
Prayer / Meditation
Our desire to pray and connect to God is increasingly more important in our world today, and for great reasons:
• We’re overwhelmed by changing technology.
• We’re exhausted by information-overload.
• We’re anxious about an uncertain future.
• We’re discouraged about the state of our world.
• We’re saddened by loss, division, and depression.
So, the power of prayer and meditation is being talked about more
than ever.People from all backgrounds, tribes, and traditions are finding themselves desperate to get out of the rat race, still their minds, and connect to their hearts and souls. More specifically, connect to themselves—their whole self: body, mind, heart, soul—and connect to God. Who is everywhere and
accessible all the time, but we’re usually not paying attention!“Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” Philippians 4:7 The Message
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
Outcomes
The results or the outcome of my prayer practice are difficult to overstate.
I can be easily frustrated, fixed on my own future and growth, and generally selfish. If I allow it, my mind will spin with anxious thoughts of the future and how I’m not far enough along. I’ll get discouraged by the delays, my hurts and hang-ups.To cope with the discouragement, I’m tempted to turn to cheap pleasure-seeking thrills for a jolt of excitement. However, doing so only becomes an endless loop of discouragement, coping, and more discouragement because of the exposed weakness and wasted time. But...
When I start the day in the way I’m about to explain, I have a fighting chance. I have a boost, or a spark. If I connect my soul to its original Life Source (or God’s Spirit), good things happen. When my soul is alive my heart can heal. When my heart is healing my mind focuses with more healthy and helpful filters. And when my mind is healthy, my body can reap the benefits—energy, posture, strength, etc.
The more we build into the investment in our wholeness, health, and
contentedness, the more we’ll reap real and tangible benefits. Here is the breakdown of the track I’ve created to help me remember to move through each stage.I use an acronym TASKS.
- T - Thanks
- A - Affirm
- S - Surrender
- K - Kill
- S - Serve
