Jesus loves telling stories to get His point across.
One of the men commented on His story while they were eating. It seems as if he wanted to impress Jesus that they were on the same page spiritually.
Jesus was talking about those He noticed who wanted the "seat of honor." So, this man said, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God." At first glance it sounds OK and a good statement, right? (Luke 14)
Jesus had a different view of his comment. Which led Him to tell another story.
This time He talked about someone who prepared a great banquet and invited many guests. They accepted his invitation. He began to make preparations for their coming. Once everything was in place. "He sent his servant to let the people know it was now time to come. Everything was ready.
But they ALL ALIKE began to make excuses." (vs 18)

Before I knew it, it was the 11th month of 2020. Like many others who planned out their itinerary at the end of 2019, no one anticipated how this year would unfold. Even now I feel as though there is an invisible force determined to destroy humanity’s hope. Clinging to faith was inevitable in the face of a global pandemic and social unrest. It was the catalyst for my hunger for Truth, and not some regurgitated truth from multiple sources, but an actual quest to find answers to ongoing questions. Prophesies and dreams seemed to elude me as I questioned God’s words spoken over me in 2019.

2020 started as a year and the beginning of a decade with high expectations which where unexpectedly dashed with the global pandemic effecting billions of people around the world. The devastating effects echo's in communities and homes till at this very moment however the relentless spirit of overcoming is evident.
These are the top 5 lessons learnt in 2020 that will strengthen us as we continue to journey as EPIC Conquerors
