When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit. - Ephesians 1:13b
The Holy Spirit’s best work in people is seen in how He changes the way they relate to one another. You want the best parts of your character displayed in your kids. It brings us great joy when we see the positive qualities, actions and words manifesting through our children.
God's grace is so amazing, how can we ever not give that same grace to others that we come into contact with, fully knowing the price that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ paid for us on the cross. Once you receive the full grace of God and truly encounter the Holy Spirit, you could never intentionally not forgive others of their short comings....
We are reminded in the parable of the unforgiving servant of just how important the act of forgiveness is, and that the gift that is undeserving, yet given to us through grace, needs to be given as abundantly as possible...FORGIVE..FORGIVE..AND FORGIVE AGAIN!!!
The power in forgiveness is that we free ourselves firstly from the bondage of resentment, anger, and other negative emotions that will hold us in bondage, steal our peace and destroy our relationship with God.
God tells us to KEEP OUR EYES ON HIM, not only for direction but also for empowerment. He reminds us that He will never lead us to do something without equipping us for the task. That is why it’s so important to seek His will in everything we do.
There are many burned-out Christians who think more is always better, who deem it unspiritual to say no. In our world, authority and service often have an inverse relationship. The more authority, position, and power we possess the more we are served. We get new titles and assistants, new offices and parking spots, and heaps
of flattery and accommodation.Jesus breaks the rules to what it means to serve. We watch Him in the gospels, He encourages, He makes breakfast, He hugs kids, He touches, He heals, He shows up.
God tells us that in order to know His will, we must spend time with HIM—enjoying His Presence. This is not a burden but a beautiful privilege.
Our Prayer: Father, “I want to be like Jesus”. You promised you’d help me if I asked. Jesus tells us: I will show you the path of Life; in My Presence is fullness of Joy; at My righthand there are pleasures forevermore.
But my eyes are upon You, O GOD the Lord; In You I take refuge; Do not leave my soul destitute.—Psalm 141:8
